Launched in 2014, Ta Quang Buu Award is an annual award by the Ministry of Science and Technology to honour scientists who have outstanding achievements in basic research in the fields of natural science and technical.
Award criteria towards the scientific work being done in the country, in recent times, been published in the international scientific journal prestige.
According to Prof. Dr. Dinh Dung, Ta Quang Buu Award is the first national award honouring scientists with scientific projects of world-class excellence.
