The recent three-year evaluation on international scientific publication revealed that the strong research group on “Chelation and Inorganic Biochemistry” led by Assoc.Prof.Dr. Nguyễn Hùng Huy was once again recognized as the strong research group of VNU-HUS in next few years.

On the basis of “Guideline on building and developing strong research groups in VNU Hanoi University of Science (VNU - HUS)”, published along with decision No. 262/QĐ-ĐHKHTN on February 2nd, 2015, VNU - HUS assessed the group’s performance in the past three year. The judging committee was founded according to decision No. 4154/ĐHKHTN-KHCN by the principal of VNU-HUS on December 31st, 2020, and had its first meeting on 12th Jan, 2021.
From 2017 to 2020, the strong research group on “Chelation and Inorganic Biochemistry” consisted of five members: Prof.Assoc.Dr. Nguyễn Hùng Huy, Prof.Dr. Triệu Thị Nguyệt, Dr. Nguyễn Văn Hà, Assoc.Prof.Dr. Nguyễn Minh Hải, Prof.Assoc.Dr. Phạm Chiến Thắng. They had a significant achievement in international scientific publication, with 42 articles published in scientific magazines indexed in ISI/SCOPUS, with 17 articles published in Q1 and 4 articles published in Q2.
Other achievements of the group include the accomplishment of 4 studies for National Foundation for Science and Technology of Vietnam (NAFOSTED), 2 studies for VNU, the organization and co-organization of 2 scientific conferences domestically and internationally, the publication of 24 articles in domestic newspapers, and 2 members of the group were awarded the title of Associate Professor.
With all those achievements, the judging committee evaluated the group to be “Excellent”, thus passing the requirements for their role. The principal of VNU-HUS signed decision No.196/QĐ-ĐHKHTN on January 22nd, 2021 to recognize the strong research group on “Chelation and Inorganic Biochemistry” led by Assoc.Prof.Dr. Nguyễn Hùng Huy to be the strong research group for VNU - HUS in the next phase.

With an aim to turn VNU-HUS into an advanced research university, VNU-HUS put a special emphasis on improving the efficiency and the quality of scientific research.
