Despite her underprivileged condition, Dinh Thi Huong Thao always spends restless effort to overcome difficulties and eventually nominated for the young representative of Vietnam 2016 in the field of studying.

In 2015, Thao earned the second place in the national test, silver in Asia Physics Olympiad and gold in International Physics Olympiad. In 2016, she won her second gold in International Physics Olympiad; received the special prize “Best female Asian Participant” from the Asia Pacific Physics Conference. Also, she is the only female among the 3 honored by “hero of labor” awarded by H.E. Prime minister Nguyen Xuan Phuc.

Thanks to her brilliant record and her restless effort in learning, D.T.H.T was awarded the young representative of Vietnam 2016 by the council.

The young representative of Vietnam award ceremony dated at 19:00 on March 19th, 2017. After the ceremony, the young representatives will take part in many meaningful events, namely the journey to the foundation at Hung temple (Phu Tho) and Tay Thien (Vinh Phuc) on March 20th, 2017; talk with the first secretary of Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union, Le Quoc Phong, on March 21st, 2017 at the head quarter of the union.
