From August 1 to August 21, 2026, a delegation of master’s students and PhD candidates from the VNU University of Science (HUS) participated in the Summer School at Guangxi Normal University (GXNU), themed “Modern Applications of Natural Medicines.” The program provided young faculty members and postgraduate students from HUS with a valuable opportunity to learn, engage in academic exchange, and gain practical experience in an international environment. Through specialized lectures and hands-on activities guided by experienced scientists, participants explored contemporary research directions in natural medicines, ranging from drug discovery and development and drug design to advanced analytical techniques.
In particular, the program created a valuable platform for young researchers to present and share their research findings with international scholars, providing opportunities to exchange scientific expertise, gain new perspectives, and expand their academic networks. These activities not only contributed to strengthening participants’ research capabilities but also fostered new connections and potential opportunities for future collaboration among universities, researchers, and countries.

Through this program, young faculty members and postgraduate students were encouraged to actively embrace opportunities for international learning, academic exchange, and networking, seek potential research partners, and open new pathways for future collaboration. Beyond its academic value, the journey to Guilin also offered participants an opportunity to discover the region’s stunning natural landscapes, rich history, and distinctive local culture, adding memorable experiences to their international academic journey.
