On May 25, 2025, VNU University of Science, VNU Hanoi, hosted the 3rd Career Orientation and Employer Networking Day – BIO-CAREER DAY 2025, drawing the participation of dozens of enterprises, research institutes, and non-governmental organizations (NGOs) from both Vietnam and abroad. Organized by the Faculty of Biology, the event not only created job opportunities for students but also expanded academic connections, encouraged entrepreneurial initiatives, and fostered strategic partnerships between the University, enterprises, and learners in the rapidly growing fields of Life Sciences and Biotechnology.

On May 14, 2025, the signing ceremony of a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) between the VNU University of Science (HUS) and 108 Military Central Hospital took place at the hospital’s headquarters. This event marked a significant milestone in the development of a collaborative relationship between two leading institutions in scientific research, education, and healthcare.

On May 13, 2025, the VNU University of Science (HUS) welcomed a delegation from Pohang University of Science and Technology (POSTECH), Korea, opening up numerous opportunities for cooperation in training and research. Among these prospects was the potential for outstanding students from the HUS High School for Gifted Students to pursue overseas study.

On the morning of May 8, 2025, the VNU University of Science (VNU-HUS) welcomed a delegation of faculty members and graduate students from University College Dublin (UCD), Ireland. The visit is part of the Vietnam–Ireland Bilateral Education Exchange (VIBE) program, with a focus on implementing an interdisciplinary research and training initiative in geospatial technology and disaster and climate risk response.

On the morning of May 5, 2025, the VNU University of Science (VNU-HUS) hosted a meeting between its leadership and representatives from academic departments with a delegation from the Department of Spatial Planning, TU Dortmund University (Germany). This event marks an important milestone in expanding the University's international cooperation network, particularly in spatial planning and sustainable urban development.

On April 11, 2025, the Center for Education Accreditation – Vietnam National University, Ho Chi Minh City (VNU-HCM) issued Decision No. 42/QĐ-TTKĐ recognizing VNU University of Science – Vietnam National University, Hanoi (VNU-HUS) as meeting the national standards for education quality.

On March 24–25, 2025, VNU University of Science (VNU-HUS) coordinated with Micron Technology to organize a recruitment and scholarship interview program for students, graduate students, and alumni of the university. As a leading enterprise in the semiconductor industry, Micron Technology not only seeks specialized personnel in the field but also values candidates with a solid foundation in fundamental sciences, including Computer Science and Engineering, Physics, Materials Science, Chemistry, and Environmental Science. In addition to VNU-HUS students, the event also attracted engineering students from various universities in Hanoi.

On March 12, 2025, the global education organization Quacquarelli Symonds (QS) released the results of its QS World University Rankings by Subject 2025. This edition ranks 1,747 higher education institutions across 55 subjects within five broad subject areas, covering approximately 21,000 academic programs.

On February 13, 2024, the VNU University of Science (VNU-HUS) hosted and held a working session with a delegation from the Embassy of Luxembourg in Asia and the University of Luxembourg. Attending the meeting were Prof. Dr. habil. Vu Hoang Linh, Rector of the University, along with leaders from the Faculties of Physics, Mathematics–Mechanics–Informatics, Biology, and the Office of Cooperation and Development.

On December 4, 2024, the VNU University of Science (VNU-HUS) organized a series of lectures on the topics: "Forecasting Drought and Heatwaves Using Physical-Based and Data-Driven Methods" and "Compound Drought and Heatwaves". These lectures were part of academic exchange activities under the Partnership for Higher Education Reform (PHER) project, coordinated by VNU-HUS, USAID, and Indiana University.
