The VNU University of Science (VNU–HUS) has received an invitation from the National University of Singapore (NUS) to nominate candidates for the NUS Science Summer Institute (Mathematics and Statistics Track). This program aims to foster academic exchange and provide international students with the opportunity to experience the learning and research environment at NUS and daily life in Singapore. Details are as follows:

Program Title:

NUS Science Summer Institute (Mathematics and Statistics Track)

Dates:

July 8–18, 2025

Host:

National University of Singapore (Department of Mathematics)

Main Activities:

- Attend academic lectures;

- Visit the NUS campus;

- Engage in small research projects with professors;

- Participate in cultural experience activities.

Eligibility:

- 2nd or 3rd year undergraduate students and master’s students from the Faculty of Mathematics – Mechanics – Informatics;

- GPA of 3.0/4.0 or above for undergraduate students, or a Bachelor’s degree GPA of 3.0/4.0 or above for master’s students;

- Good command of English; preference will be given to those with an international English certificate at B2 level or higher;

- Interest in pursuing a PhD program at NUS.

Number of Slots:

10 students

 

Financial Support Provided by NUS:

- Full tuition fee waiver;

- Accommodation (on-campus dormitory at NUS);

- Round-trip airfare support (at the lowest available rate determined by NUS).

Application Process:

1.VNU–HUS will review and nominate candidates based on submitted applications;

2.The university will coordinate with NUS during the review and selection process;

3,Official results will be received from NUS and announced to the candidates;

4,Selected candidates must pay a participation fee to VNU–HUS;

5,The Office of Cooperation and Development will provide a pre-departure orientation and coordinate the trip;

6.After the program, each participant must submit:

- A report (800–1000 words in English);

- Photos documenting their experience;
These materials may be used for VNU–HUS promotional purposes.
