Global Connections Day 2026 Gateway to Global Opportunities at VNU-HUS

On the afternoon of May 11, 2026, VNU University of Science (VNU-HUS) successfully hosted the “Global Connections Day 2026” programme. The event aimed to connect high school students, university students, and postgraduate learners with international universities and research institutions, thereby creating opportunities for internships, scholarships, and career development in international environments.

Nearly 1,300 students with more than 800 scientific research projects across eight disciplinary fields implemented in the 2025–2026 academic year not only reflect the scale but also reveal a clear trend: fundamental research, alongside technological development, is becoming a key component of the training process, enhancing students’ core competencies at the VNU University of Science (HUS).

All four Vietnamese students have won medals, including two golds and two silvers, at the 60th International Mendeleev Chemistry Olympiad, held in Moscow, Russia, from April 15 to 23, according to the Ministry of Education and Training. Students from VNU HUS High School for Gifted Students made up 2 out of 4 team members, and both won medals, including Nguyen Thai Minh – Gold Medal (ranked 11th) and Nguyen Huu Tue – Silver Medal.

The Vietnam Mathematical Society recently announced its decision to confer the 2025 prize on two educators and four students. The award is one of the society’s most prestigious honors, recognizing outstanding mathematics teachers and exceptional students nationwide. The two honored teachers are Tran Quang Hung, a teacher at the High School for Gifted Students in Natural Sciences under the University of Science, Vietnam National University, Hanoi, and Tran Dinh Huu, a teacher at Ha Tinh High School for the Gifted in Ha Tinh Province.
