Nearly 1,300 students with more than 800 scientific research projects across eight disciplinary fields implemented in the 2025–2026 academic year not only reflect the scale but also reveal a clear trend: fundamental research, alongside technological development, is becoming a key component of the training process, enhancing students’ core competencies at the VNU University of Science (HUS).

All four Vietnamese students have won medals, including two golds and two silvers, at the 60th International Mendeleev Chemistry Olympiad, held in Moscow, Russia, from April 15 to 23, according to the Ministry of Education and Training. The Vietnam Mathematical Society recently announced its decision to confer the 2025 prize on two educators and four students.
