On Friday 28th October 2016, in Nguy Nhu Kon Tum Hall, the Faculty of Geology, VNU University of Science solemnly celebrated the 50th anniversary and received Second-class Labor Order.
The event is a valuable opportunity for all generations of lectures and students converge, review memories, and achievements of the Faculty of Geology during the last 50 years.
Attending the ceremony were representatives of Assoc. Prof. Dr. Do Canh Duong - General Director, General Department of Geology and Minerals of Vietnam, President of Geological Society of Vietnam, Dr. Hoang Van Thuc - Deputy General Director, General Department of Environment, Major General Tran Van Thang – Director of Map Department, Ministry of Defense, Prof. Dr. Nguyen Huu Duc - Vice President of the Vietnam National University, Hanoi, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Nguyen Van Noi - Rector of the VNU University of Science and numerous generations of teachers and students of the Faculty of Geology, VNU University of Science.

With the achievement of excellence in education and training from the academic year 2010-2011 to 2014-2015, Faculty of Geology has honored received the Second-class Labor Order of the President. This is the pride of every faculty members and students of the Faculty of Geology in particular, and the VNU University of Science in general. Second-class Labor Order is not only a prestigious award in recognition of the contribution of education and scientific research, but also a motivation and inspiration to the teachers, students of the Faculty of Geology in training, learning, and research.
