On February 27, 2024, at the Nguy Nhu Kon Tum Hall (19 Le Thanh Tong, Hanoi), Honeywell UOP (Honeywell Universal Oil Products, USA) held the 2023 Honeywell Scholarship and Internship Award Ceremony. This marks the 8th year that the Honeywell UOP scholarship has been awarded to students from the Faculty of Chemistry, VNU University of Science, Hanoi.
On this occasion, representatives of Honeywell UOP awarded scholarships to four outstanding students from the Faculty of Chemistry. Additionally, they conducted interviews to select one exceptional student for an internship in the summer of 2024 at Des Plaines, Chicago, USA.
Attending the ceremony, from Honeywell UOP, were Dr. Zhihao Fei, Director of R&D for China & Southeast Asia, and Mr. Han Minh Ha, Senior HR Director for Thailand and Vietnam. From the University of Science, there were Prof. Dr. Le Thanh Son, Vice Rector, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Nguyen Van Ha, Deputy Head of the Office of Cooperation and Development, along with the leadership of the Faculty of Chemistry, and distinguished faculty members and students from the Faculty of Chemistry.

In his speech at the ceremony, Prof. Dr. Le Thanh Son expressed his pleasure in welcoming the distinguished guests to visit the oldest university and historical lecture hall in Vietnam.
He stated, "In the past 10 years, excluding the two years of the Covid-19 pandemic in 2020 and 2021, 39 outstanding students have been awarded the Honeywell UOP scholarships. This is truly a long-term commitment that Honeywell UOP has made for our students. The university sincerely appreciates the valuable support from Honeywell UOP."
