On September 8, 2022, Assoc.Prof.Dr. Ngac An Bang - Vice Rector of VNU-HUS and leaders of the Faculty of Physics and the Department for Development & Cooperation had a meeting with representatives of National Yang Ming Chiao Tung University (NYCU) (Taiwan, China).
National Yang Ming Chiao Tung University (NYCU) was established in 2021 on the basis of merging National Yang Ming University (NYMU) and National Chiao Tung University (NCTU), becoming Taiwan’s leading institution in the fields of electronics, information communication and management, science and engineering.
In the field of electronic technology, the former NCTU - now NYCU - is ranked No. 1 in Taiwan and among the top 10 best universities in the Asia-Pacific region.
In the field of Computer Science, the University is among the world’s top 30.
NYCU and VNU-HUS in general and the Faculty of Physics in particular has been in cooperative relation for many years, especially in the joint training of the NYCU-granted master's degree in "Semiconductor Technology", which started in 2020. Many students of the Faculty of Physics have received scholarships to study and research at NYCU.

The representatives of NYCU also had a meeting with students of the Faculty of Physics, VNU-HUS, which, according to Assoc.Prof.Dr. Ngac An Bang, was a good opportunity to help those students preparing to attend the NYCU exchange program better understand it and provide other students information and motivation.
