On October 9, VNU University of Science held the Geographic Information System (GIS) 2015 Conference on “GIS for Sustainable Development and Integration” in Hanoi. The conference attracted numerous scientists and participants from universities, institutes, government and non- government organizations inside and outside Vietnam.
The participants at the conference said the GIS development has helped update, analyse, recapitulate, manage and trace useful information in a fast and easy manner.
The event offers a good opportunity for scientists to announce their latest research and application results, share cooperation experiences towards the sustainable development of GIS in Vietnam aiming to keep pace with the level of global development in this field. The GIS 2015 Conference makes contributions to the long-standing excellent relationship between German and Vietnamese Scientists, and to the 40th anniversary of Vietnam - Germany Diplomatic ties.
