VNU VJU was established under the commitment of Vietnam Government and Japan Government. The training programs at VNU VJU have been designed by outstanding professors, scientists from VNU and prestigious universities in Japan.
The workshop expects the attendance of:
- About 300 guests from the Embassy of Japan in Vietnam, JICA Vietnam Office, VNU VJU Management Board, the Japanese partner universities and businesses in Vietnam and Japan;
- Training programs designing consultants, potential employers and students.
There are two parts to the workshop agenda:
Part 1 to introduce:
- VNU VJU and its Master’s programs;
VNU’s Japanese partners and cooperative activities between VNU and Japanese counterparts.
Part 2 to comprise:
- In-depth consultation on the six Master’s programs with special information on admissions policies, training procedures, training quality assurance conditions, program requirements, scholarship policies and opportunities for students;
- Q&A sessions conducted by professors from VNU and the Japanese partner universities.

- Good or higher Bachelor’s degree (GPA≥ 2.5 / 4.0)
- Foreign language proficiency:
+ At the application document submission time: A minimum of Level 3 of the Vietnamese Six-level Framework of Reference for Foreign Languages or equivalent;
+ At the enrolment time: A minimum of Level 4 of the Vietnamese Six-level Framework of Reference for Foreign Languages or equivalent.
For Area Studies Master’s program only:
- A minimum of JLPT Level N2 certificate is required of applicants majoring in Japanese Studies.
- A pass in the Vietnamese Language Proficiency Test is required of foreigners and overseas Vietnamese majoring in Vietnamese Studies.
