Innovative Support Programs and Student Mobility

In addition, POSTECH is implementing the "Pathfinder Voucher" program, which offers up to 10 million KRW per student to support innovation, scientific research, entrepreneurship, and international experience. This is a creative training model that is rarely implemented worldwide. The program allows POSTECH students to participate in major international events such as Nobel Week and global tech exhibitions. Both sides also discussed the possibility of including a study-abroad and cultural experience component in Vietnam as part of the Pathfinder Voucher initiative.

POSTECH also expressed its intention to expand cooperation and attract outstanding students from the HUS High School for Gifted Students, a unit under the University of Science. As part of this commitment, POSTECH offers special incentives such as free airfare, waived admission and tuition fees for exceptional students, and a monthly support of 500,000 KRW for those with a GPA of 3.0/4.0 or higher to cover health insurance and other welfare benefits.

Assoc. Prof. Dr. Ngạc An Bang affirmed that students from the HUS High School for Gifted Students are among the best, excelling academically and with increasingly strong foreign language skills. While many opt for domestic programs at HUS or other top universities, a growing number aim to study and conduct research abroad. Thus, the scholarship and support programs from POSTECH are practical and meaningful opportunities, offering an international gateway for the school’s students.
