A ceremony was held on the 15th January, 2019 in Ho Chi Minh City to sign a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) for training cooperation and scientific research between VNU University of Science (VNU-HUS) and Ho Chi Minh City University of Technology (HCMUT).

On the 22nd of January 2019, VNU University of Science (VNU-HUS) met with representatives of National Dong Hwa University (NDHU), Taiwan.

On the occasion of the upcoming Lunar New Year in 2019, representatives of Laotian students that are studying at the Faculty of Physics, Biology, Meteorology - Hydrology and Environmental Science (VNU-HUS) visited the Board of Rectors and lectures of VNU-HUS to send greetings on the occasion of Tet.

VNU University of Science (VNU-HUS) hosted the "International Symposium on Molecular Cell Biology” at 19 Le Thanh Tong, Hanoi.

On the 2nd January 2019, a delegation from the National Chiao Tung University, Taiwan (NTCU) visited VNU-HUS and discussed some future joint project.

On January 3, 2019, representatives from VNU University of Science (VNU-HUS) and a delegation from the Feng Chia University had a meeting at Campus 334 Nguyen Trai, Hanoi.

On the 4th December 2018, VNU University of Science (VNU-HUS) welcomed a delegation from the KU Leuven University, Belgium. The delegation was led by Mr. Paul Van Dun, the Director of Research and Development and Technology Transfer Center at the KU Leuven University.

On December 6, 2018, VNU University of Science (VNU-HUS) welcomed a delegation from the Japan Advanced Institute of Science and Technology (JAIST) led by Prof. Dr. Tetsuo Asano, the President of JAIST.

On November 6th, 2018 a ceremony was held by the Vietnam National University, Hanoi (VNU) to commemorate the commencement of the 125th AUN-QA program-level assessment.

The Opening Ceremony of the 2nd International Conference on Regional Climate Modeling for Southeast Asia was organized by the VNU University of Science (VNU-HUS) in late October.
