On July 28th, 2014, the 46th IChO came to a close with a ceremony that stirred mixed feelings among the participants.

The theoretical exam finally came. Yesterday morning, nearly 300 international students gathered early at the National Convention Center to attend the 5-hour exam from 9AM to 2PM.

International participating teams from 77 nations and territories along with the host’s delegates gathered at Hanoi’s National Convention Centre on July 21st, 2014 to enjoy a colorful opening ceremony for the 46th International Chemistry Olympiad (IChO 2014).

Yesterday was the day for students from 75 nations and territories to compete among each other in the practical exam at Hanoi National University of Education.

Between the practical and theoretical exams, participating IChO 2014 students enjoyed a relaxing day at Vietnam’s Museum of Ethnology in the hope of relaxing themselves, as well as using the opportunity to learn more about Vietnam.

After two tense examinations for the race of medals, participating students of IChO 2014 had a trip to Ninh Binh to visit the landscape complex of Trang An and Bai Dinh pagoda, the biggest pagoda in South East Asia.

On the morning of 09th September, 2013, VNU University of Science has opened training courses on One Stop E - Government for Sustainable Land Administration. The course is organized in the framework of the training on human resources for the field of Land Management between the Department of Land Information Science and Earth Observation (ITC), University of Twente (Netherlands) and Faculty of Geography, VNU University of Science, Vietnam National University, Hanoi.

On the afternoon of October 7th, 2013, in Hanoi, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Bui Duy Cam – Rector of VNU University of Science and Dr. Gavin P. Towler - Vice President and Director of Technology of Honeywell UOP in Vietnam signed the cooperation document for training and scientific research
