On Thursday, 22nd September 2016, the Inaugural Workshop for Developing Accreditation and Quality Assurance Systems was held at VNU University of Science. The workshop hosted by VNU University of Science with the help of the University of Arizona (USA) through BUILD-IT Project.

At the 2016 International Chemistry Olympiad held in Georgia, Dinh Quang Hieu a student of High School for Gifted Students, VNU University of Science has won a Gold Medal.

Vietnamese student delegation attended the 27th International Biology Olympiad (IBO 2016) has won the impressive results: 1 Gold Medal, 1 Silver Medal and 2 Bronze Medals.
