- Over 1000 scientific papers, 150 textbooks and monographs, 250 research projects. 2009-2015: over 250 international papers (more than 50% are ISI listed papers), 25 NAFOSTED projects, 18 VNU projects.
- International class research groups on Topological algebra, Dynamical system and applications, Numerical methods for diferential equations and scientific computing, Solid mechanics. Two VNU strong research groups: Topological algebra and Waves in elastic media.
- First institution in Vietnam organizing PhD dissertation defence and Doctor of Science dissertation defence.
- Prof. Dr.Sc. Nguyen Huu Viet Hung was granted the Ta Quang Buu Prize in 2013.
- The Undergraduate Mathematics Program has been accredited by the Asean University Network Quality Assurance (AUN-QA) in 2013.
