In early September, Professor Katharina Fugelister, Head of International Relations at the Swiss Federal Institute of Technology in Lausanne (École Polytechnique Fédérale de Lausanne - EPFL), visited and worked with the leadership of the University of Sciences, VNU Hanoi. Welcoming and discussing with EPFL representatives were Assoc.Prof.Dr. Ngac An Bang, Vice Rector; Prof.Dr. Nguyen Van Noi, former Rector, and Director of the Key Laboratory for Advanced Materials for Green Growth; Assoc.Prof.Dr. Tran Ngoc Anh, Director of the Natural Sciences Co., Ltd and Assoc.Prof.Dr. Pham Thi Thuy, Vice Dean of the Faculty of Environment.

With all of its members winning medals, the Vietnamese team is among the nine countries and territories showing high results at the Olympiad, according to the MoET.

On September 1, 2023, the Research.com portal announced the ranking results of world scientists with excellent achievements in scientific publications in 2023. In the context of globalization, international joint training is a trend that many countries and universities are interested in. On July 30, 2023, Cybermetrics Labs (under the Spanish National Research Council) announced the second Webometrics rankings of 2023. Accordingly, Vietnam National University, Hanoi (VNU) ranked 671st among the world’s top 700 universities.

What is the secrete of Israel which made it into the "high-tech nation"? We will discuss it from a somewhat personal perspective with the hope of talking with the audience about the similarities and differences between Israel and Vietnam and what can be learned from it.
