On the morning of March 23rd, 2023, the "Closing ceremony of the 322nd AUN-QA assessment at programme level at Vietnam National University, Hanoi” was held.
This time, two VNU-HUS’ programmes were assessed: the Master programme in Hydrology and the Bachelor programme in Mathematics and Computer Science.
At the Closing Ceremony, the AUN-QA Assessor Team presented preliminary results of the assessment on such aspects as: training programme content, teaching and learning methods, testing and assessment, research staff, student support services, infrastructure, employment after graduation, according to which they gave conclusion on the conditions to ensure the quality of training programmes against AUN-QA assessment rating scale.

For each training programme, the representative of the assessor team made comments on the strengths and weaknesses that need improvement, and suggested on ways to improve their training quality.

Addressing the Closing Ceremony, Mr. Prem Anand M Arjunan - Head of the AUN-QA Assessor Team thanked VNU-HUS for the thoughtful reception, especially their trust in the quality accreditation system of AUN-QA. Mr. Prem Anand M Arjunan also expressed his hope that this assessment would help promote the development of training programmes, as it had always been the case.

Assoc.Prof.Dr. Nguyen Hoang Hai, Vice President of Vietnam National University, Hanoi affirmed: The 322nd AUN-QA assessment held in-person is an important event where Vietnam National University, Hanoi is given the opportunity to demonstrate unwavering dedication to excellence in higher education.
As a founding member of AUN, from the very beginning, Vietnam National University, Hanoi has always been committed to promoting quality assurance in education. Over the past 30 years, Vietnam National University, Hanoi has participated in 15 thematic networks under AUN. To date, about 48 training programmes at VNU-Hanoi have been accredited by AUN-QA, demonstrating its close relationship with AUN-QA
With the goal of becoming a research university on par with advanced research universities in Southeast Asia and having a number of fields reaching top level in Asia, the HUS has always been active in accrediting and improving its training quality. Up to now, 16 of its training programmes have been accreditated by AUN-QA, with good results. This time, its first Master programme ever was assessed, contributing to the implementation of the Resolution of the University’s Party Congress for the 2020-2025 term, which set out that there would be at least 10% of graduate training programmes being accredited.
