On Wednesday, 4th May 2016, Prof. Dr. Nguyen Van Noi – Rector of the VNU University of Science had a meeting with Mr. Vance Y. Hum – President/CEO and Mr. Sean Lam - Deputy Chairman of the IMSG Group, USA.
On Wednesday, 4th May 2016, Prof. Dr. Nguyen Van Noi – Rector of the VNU University of Science had a meeting with Mr. Vance Y. Hum – President/CEO and Mr. Sean Lam - Deputy Chairman of the IMSG Group, USA. Accompanying the delegation were representatives of Prof. Dr. Nguyen Tien Giang - Vice Rector, Prof. Dr. Tran Ngoc Anh - Director of Center of Research for Environmental Fluid Dynamics.
Speaking at the meeting, Mr. Vance Y. Hum informed that IMSG is a corporation which specializing in the impact assessment of natural disasters, climate change and development of strategies and models to respond. During the meeting at the VNU University of Science, the delegation wished to establish cooperative relations with the university. To create a foundation for collaborative activities in the future, representatives of both parties, Mr. Vance Y. Hum and Rector Nguyen Van Noi signed cooperation agreement. Accordingly, the two sides will gradually exchange relevant technology, data in the field of natural sciences, especially in weather forecasting and adaptation to climate change. Both parties also would like to cooperate in scientific research, short training courses and co-organizing seminars, symposiums.
In the near future, the IMSG wants to recruit 10 IT students to develop software of integrated weather system for airports.
Mr Vance Y.Hum and Rector Nguyen Van Noi are signing cooperation memorandum.
