On Tuesday afternoon, 23 February 2016, Vice Rector – Associate Prof. Dr. Nguyen Tien Giang had a meeting with Prof. Fumio Hasebe from Hokkaido University, Japan. Along with the delegation were representatives of the Meteorology - Hydrology – Oceanography Faculty.
Speaking at the meeting, Associate Prof. Dr. Nguyen Tien Giang said the VNU University of Science is happy to establish cooperation with the University of Hokkaido – one of seven national universities in Japan. Between the two Universities also signed cooperation documents from 2015, thereby gradually implement specific cooperation activities such as exchange of students, post-graduate students and lectures…
Prof. Fumio Hasebe thanked the warm welcome from the University of Science. During a working visit to the school this time, the delegation will discuss directly and specific cooperation activities with the Faculty of Meteorology - Hydrology - Oceanography.
The Hokkaido University ranked number 9, 10 and 14 respectively in 2008, 2009 and 2010 are among the best universities in Japan. In 2013, following the college rankings world (QS World University rankings) assessed University of Hokkaido University is ranked No. 144 in the world. Hokkaido University recently been selected as part of the global university program of Japan.
