After two tense examinations for the race of medals, participating students of IChO 2014 had a trip to Ninh Binh to visit the landscape complex of Trang An and Bai Dinh pagoda, the biggest pagoda in South East Asia.

On the morning of 09th September, 2013, VNU University of Science has opened training courses on One Stop E - Government for Sustainable Land Administration. The course is organized in the framework of the training on human resources for the field of Land Management between the Department of Land Information Science and Earth Observation (ITC), University of Twente (Netherlands) and Faculty of Geography, VNU University of Science, Vietnam National University, Hanoi.

On the afternoon of October 7th, 2013, in Hanoi, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Bui Duy Cam – Rector of VNU University of Science and Dr. Gavin P. Towler - Vice President and Director of Technology of Honeywell UOP in Vietnam signed the cooperation document for training and scientific research

On the afternoon of August 15th 2013, VNU University of Science honored to welcome Physics Nobel Professor George Smoot to communicate with staff, students and pupils.

On the afternoon of July 11th 2013, India Delegation of Council of Scientific and Industrial Research - CSIR) by Dr. Amitava Bandopadhyay - Chief Department of International Science and Technology, led to visit and work at VNU University of Science. Assoc. Prof. Dr. Nguyen Van Noi - Vice - Rector and the representative of the Board of the Faculty of Physics, Faculty of Chemistry and Faculty of Biology had greeting the Delegation.

On 19/06/2013, at 19 Le Thanh Tong, VNU University of Science was held a Ceremony of Awarding Master's Degree of Chemistry for the third and fourth courses, and a Master's thesis protection of the fifth course, specialized in Chemistry "Advanced Materials and Environment ".

On 27th March 2013, Mrs Sandy McConachy – Director of Global Research Program and Prof. Richard Russell - Vice President of University of Adelaide, Australia visited and worked at VNU University of science (VNU-HUS). Assoc. Prof. Dr. Bui Duy Cam - Rector of VNU-HUS has received the delegation.

In the morning of May 23rd, 2013, at Le Van Thiem Hall - 19 Le Thanh Tong, Hanoi, VNU University of Science (VNU-HUS) was in collaboration with the University Network of Southeast Asia (Asian University Network - AUN) to open the ceremony assessment at the program level following the AUN standard - the training program of Bachelor of Science in Mathematics and Biology.

In the morning of April 16th, 2013, VNU University of Science (VNU-HUS) organized the Graduation and Masters’ Degrees Awarding Ceremony for 499 graduate students.
