On September 21, 2023, on Hoa Lac campus, VNU held a ceremony to commend and reward the students - the 2023 International Olympiad winners, from VNU University of Science High School for Gifted Students.

From September 12 - 15, 2023, a group of students from Ibaraki University, Japan, had an exchange week at the University of Sciences, VNU Hanoi Hanoi. During this time, the Japanese students had the opportunity to experience and study at the Faculty of Physics and the Faculty of Chemistry of the University of Sciences, VNU Hanoi.

On September 14, 2023, Dr. Do Thanh Ha, Deputy Head of the Faculty of Mathematics - Mechanics - Informatics had a meeting and working session with representatives of ISIMA, which is under the Polytechnique Institute of Clermont-Auvergne (Clermont-Auvergne INP) and a member of University of Clermont-Auvergne, French Republic.

On the morning of September 12, 2023, the University of Sciences was delighted to welcome a delegation of professors and graduate students specializing in Sustainable Development from KU Leuven University, Kingdom of Belgium for a visit and cooperative exchange.

In early September, Professor Katharina Fugelister, Head of International Relations at the Swiss Federal Institute of Technology in Lausanne (École Polytechnique Fédérale de Lausanne - EPFL), visited and worked with the leadership of the University of Sciences, VNU Hanoi. Welcoming and discussing with EPFL representatives were Assoc.Prof.Dr. Ngac An Bang, Vice Rector; Prof.Dr. Nguyen Van Noi, former Rector, and Director of the Key Laboratory for Advanced Materials for Green Growth; Assoc.Prof.Dr. Tran Ngoc Anh, Director of the Natural Sciences Co., Ltd and Assoc.Prof.Dr. Pham Thi Thuy, Vice Dean of the Faculty of Environment.

With all of its members winning medals, the Vietnamese team is among the nine countries and territories showing high results at the Olympiad, according to the MoET.

On September 1, 2023, the Research.com portal announced the ranking results of world scientists with excellent achievements in scientific publications in 2023. Two VNU-HUS's scientists continued to be named in the world ranking of Reseach.com in the field of Environmental Sciences, namely: Prof.Dr. Pham Hung Viet & Assoc.Prof.Dr. Tu Binh Minh.

In the context of globalization, international joint training is a trend that many countries and universities are interested in. The University of Sciences, VNU Hanoi has been and is currently promoting cooperation in building and developing an international joint training program in Semiconductor Technology with National Yang-Ming Chiao Tung University in Taiwan, China.

Prof.Dr.Sc. Vu Hoang Linh, Rector of VNU University of Science was elected President of Vietnam Mathematical Society for the 2023-2028 term.

On July 28, 2023, the University of Sciences hosted a public lecture titled “Doing Excellent Science in Remote Places”, presented by Professor Alex Lubotzky, a Mathematics Professor at the Weizmann Institute and Professor Emeritus Maurice and Clara Weil at Hebrew University (Israel).
