In 2024, four VNU’s scientists continued to be named in the world ranking of Reseach.com and led Vietnam in 3 fields, namely: Prof.Dr.Sc Nguyen Dinh Duc - Engineering and Technology, Prof.Dr. Pham Hung Viet & Assoc.Prof.Dr. Tu Binh Binh - Environmental Sciences, and Assoc.Prof.Dr. Le Hoang Son – Computer Science.

On the morning of May 22, 2024, representatives of the leadership from VNU University of Science, Hanoi, and the Faculty of Environment had a meeting with a delegation from the Division of Environmental Health Sciences, University of Minnesota, USA.

On the morning of May 15, 2024, the VNU University of Science, Hanoi held a meeting and discussion with representatives from Intel Vietnam regarding a collaboration plan to organize an AI training course for students in the near future.

According to the Ministry of Information and Communications, Vietnam needs at least 50,000 engineers in the semiconductor industry by 2030, which is 10 times the current figure, to secure its place on the global technology map. As a pioneering institution in training human resources for this field, the VNU University of Science, Hanoi (VNU-HUS), has been committed to fostering and developing partnerships and training programs in semiconductor technology for over a decade​.

On the morning of March 18, 2024, the opening ceremony of the short-term training course "Application of Conservation Genetics and Forensic Science in Wildlife Protection" took place at the VNU University of Science. The course is part of the international scientific research cooperation between VNU University of Science, the German Primate Center, and Lingnan University, Hong Kong, China.

On the morning of March 12, 2024, the University of Science, VNU, had a meeting and working session with representatives from the University of Saskatchewan, one of Canada's top 15 research universities.

On the morning of March 6, 2024, a delegation from the Institute of New Technology, University of Tokyo, Japan, had a meeting and exchange with representatives of the leadership of the University of Science, VNU, and the Faculty of Meteorology, Hydrology, and Oceanography.

On February 28, 2024, Hanoi University of Science (HUS) hosted a working session and a signing ceremony to establish a cooperation agreement with Organoid Sciences from South Korea.

On the morning of February 27, 2024, the international workshop titled "Sharing Knowledge and Experience in Integrating Remote Sensing Data and Environmental Monitoring" took place at VNU Hanoi University of Science.

On February 27, 2024, at the Nguy Nhu Kon Tum Hall (19 Le Thanh Tong, Hanoi), Honeywell UOP (Honeywell Universal Oil Products, USA) held the 2023 Honeywell Scholarship and Internship Award Ceremony. This marks the 8th year that the Honeywell UOP scholarship has been awarded to students from the Faculty of Chemistry, VNU University of Science, Hanoi.
