On Wednesday 11th May 2016, the VNU University of Science held the Student Scientific Conference 2016.

On Monday, 9th May 2016, Vice Rector Prof. Dr. Phan Tuan Nghia had a meeting with the delegation of experts from the International Institute for Applied System Analysis (IIASA) leading by Prof. Pavel Kabat – CEO of IIASA.

Wednesday - 04/05/2016 On Wednesday, 4th May 2016, Prof. Dr. Nguyen Van Noi – Rector of the VNU University of Science had a meeting with Mr. Vance Y. Hum – President/CEO and Mr. Sean Lam - Deputy Chairman of the IMSG Group, USA.

On Thursday, 28th April 2016, Vice Rector Prof. Dr. Nguyen Tien Giang had a meeting with the delegation of experts from the Sembcorp Company, Singapore leading by Mr. Chong Choon Woon.

The 24th National Mathematics Olympiad for Students was held at the University of Quy Nhon (Binh Dinh) from 11/4 - 17/4/2016, the VNU University of Science team achieved excellent results with 01 Special prize, 05 First prizes, 03 Second prizes and 02 Third prizes.

The 9th National Chemistry Olympiad for Students in 2016 was placed from 04/17/2016 to 04/22/2016 at Hanoi University of Industry with the participation of 220 students from 44 teams belonging to 35 Universities, Colleges and Institutes in Vietnam.
