On April 11, 2025, the Center for Education Accreditation – Vietnam National University, Ho Chi Minh City (VNU-HCM) issued Decision No. 42/QĐ-TTKĐ recognizing VNU University of Science – Vietnam National University, Hanoi (VNU-HUS) as meeting the national standards for education quality.

On March 24–25, 2025, VNU University of Science (VNU-HUS) coordinated with Micron Technology to organize a recruitment and scholarship interview program for students, graduate students, and alumni of the university. As a leading enterprise in the semiconductor industry, Micron Technology not only seeks specialized personnel in the field but also values candidates with a solid foundation in fundamental sciences, including Computer Science and Engineering, Physics, Materials Science, Chemistry, and Environmental Science. In addition to VNU-HUS students, the event also attracted engineering students from various universities in Hanoi.

On March 12, 2025, the global education organization Quacquarelli Symonds (QS) released the results of its QS World University Rankings by Subject 2025. This edition ranks 1,747 higher education institutions across 55 subjects within five broad subject areas, covering approximately 21,000 academic programs.

On February 13, 2024, the VNU University of Science (VNU-HUS) hosted and held a working session with a delegation from the Embassy of Luxembourg in Asia and the University of Luxembourg. Attending the meeting were Prof. Dr. habil. Vu Hoang Linh, Rector of the University, along with leaders from the Faculties of Physics, Mathematics–Mechanics–Informatics, Biology, and the Office of Cooperation and Development.

On December 4, 2024, the VNU University of Science (VNU-HUS) organized a series of lectures on the topics: "Forecasting Drought and Heatwaves Using Physical-Based and Data-Driven Methods" and "Compound Drought and Heatwaves". These lectures were part of academic exchange activities under the Partnership for Higher Education Reform (PHER) project, coordinated by VNU-HUS, USAID, and Indiana University.

On November 6, 2024, the leadership of VNU University of Science (VNU-HUS) held a working session with a delegation from the College of Engineering, National Chung Cheng University (CCU), Taiwan to explore collaboration opportunities in materials science and artificial intelligence.

On September 30, 2024, more than 100 students from the University of Science (VNU-HUS), including those from the Faculty of Mathematics–Mechanics–Informatics, the Faculty of Physics, and the High School for Gifted Students in Natural Sciences, along with nearly 50 other students from across Vietnam National University, Hanoi (VNU), participated in a discussion with Mr. Nick Clegg, President of Global Affairs at Meta and former UK Deputy Prime Minister. The theme of the event was “The Future of AI and Vietnam.” Notably, this student exchange took place immediately after Mr. Clegg’s meeting with General Secretary and State President Tô Lâm and ahead of his scheduled meeting with Prime Minister Phạm Minh Chính.

From September 16-20, 2024, a group of students from Ibaraki University had an enriching experience at the VNU University of Science, Hanoi. This was part of an annual exchange and cultural interaction between the two institutions, designed to provide academic and cultural exchange opportunities for students at the VNU University of Science. In October, a group of students from VNU University of Science is expected to be sponsored for a similar exchange visit to Japan.

On the afternoon of August 26, 2024, representatives from the VNU University of Science held a meeting and working session with representatives from the University of Tennessee, Knoxville, USA.

A delegation of 9 students from the Talent Program, High-Quality Program, and International Program of the Faculty of Biology, VNU University of Science, has just completed an exchange trip, participating in an exciting Science Summer Program at the Hong Kong University of Science and Technology (HKUST).
