In order to further promote cooperation, research and exchange activities between Vietnam and Korea in the field of land management and geospatial information, an international symposium on sustainable land management and geospatial information technology was held on June 29, 2022, by the Faculty of Geography (VNU-HUS) in coordination with the Korea Cadastral Information Association, Geospatial Information Research Institute - Korea Land and Geospatial Corporation.

As geospatial information science plays an increasingly important role in modern society, there is a need to improve the quality of research and training in this field. Given this fact, an MOU was on June 28, 2022 between VNU-HUS and the Korea National Institute of Geographic Information, thus also helped strengthening their mutual relation in the future.

On June 9, 2022, Quacquarelli Symonds released the 19th edition of the QS World University Rankings (QS WUR 2023). Accordingly, Vietnam National University, Hanoi (VNU) featured among the world’s top 1000 for the fifth consecutive time.

On June 1, 2022, the Times Higher Education (THE) released the ranking of the best universities in Asia in 2022. Accordingly, Vietnam National University, Hanoi (VNU) was listed in Group 301 - 350 in Asia out of a total of 616 higher education institutions participating in the ranking.

On June 1, 2022, according to the Ministry of Education and Training, all seven Vietnamese students participating in the 2022 Asia–Pacific Informatics Olympiad (APIO) won prizes including three gold medals and 4 silver ones.

According to the Ministry of Education and Training, all eight Vietnamese students participating in the 2022 Asian Physics Olympiad (APhO) won prizes including one silver medal, two bronze medals and five certificates of merit.

On May 20 and 21, 2022, at the International Center for Interdisciplinary Science and Education (ICISE), Quy Nhon, with the support of the Ministry of Education and Training and the Ministry of Science and Technology, The Delegation of the European Union to Vietnam, the French Embassy and the Italian Embassy in Vietnam, in collaboration with Rencontres du Vietnam and the EURAXESS ASEAN, organized an international symposium: 'Erasmus+ Capacity building in Higher Education – Yesterday and Tomorrow' with more than 200 participants from Vietnamese and European universities.

A meeting was held on the morning of May 13, 2022 where VNU-HUS and representatives of Bosch Vietnam (Bosch Global Software Technologies Vietnam, BGSV) discussed opportunities for cooperation in the field of information technology and embedded systems.

On May 16, 2022, the Vietnam Women’s Union Central Committee in Hanoi held the Kovalevskaya Award 2021.

On April 28, 2022, the Times Higher Education (THE) announced its Impact Rankings 2022 results. The Times Higher Education Impact Rankings is the only global performance table that assesses universities against the United Nations’ 17 Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).
