The National Office of Intellectual Property (MOST) has just granted two new patents for two researches of VNU-HUS. This is the product of the State-level project KHCN-TB/13-18 “Research, evaluate and develop a number of folk remedies of the Northwestern ethnic groups in the treatment of liver and gallbladder diseases” (a research within the framework of the Science and Technology Program for Sustainable Development in the Northwest).

The Scientific Conference of VNU University of Science is held every two years. In 2021, it was held with the theme "Innovation associated with basic research at Hanoi University of Sciences" in order to strengthen applied research, promote innovation and start-up activities within the University.

In the past year, students of the HUS High School for the Gifted made such a good impression at numerous international competitions with their excellent achievements.

Recently, 02 technologies by VNU-HUS staff were selected to participate in the Remote Mentoring & Technology Commercialization Support Program organized by the World Intellectual Property Organization (WIPO); 01 start-up project by a VNU-HUS student was also included in the 160+ list of the 2021 Elevator Pitch Competition (EPiC).

On October 8th, 2021, after five days of serious and professional working, quality assessment specialists from ASEAN University Network (AUN) completed their 237th programme assessment at programme level for four educational programs of Vietnam National University, namely: Bachelor of Science in Biotechnology, Bachelor of Science in Pharmaceutical Chemistry, Bachelor of Science in Management of Resources and Environment (VNU-HUS), and Master of Environmental Engineering (VNU-Vietnam Japan University).

Between October 4th and October 8th, 2021, ASEAN University Network-Quality Assurance (AUN-QA) will begin the accreditation for four training programs of Vietnam National University (VNU), including three Bachelor of Science programs of Hanoi University of Science (HUS). They are Biotechnology, Pharmaceutical Chemistry, Management of Resource and Environment.

From September 30th to October 2th, Hanoi University of Sciences (VNU - HUS) organized Online Meetings for Students of Special Training Programs of QH.2021.T - Cohort K66. The purpose of the meetings was to disseminate information about the training programs, course schedules, as well as providing counselling for the new students.

On the morning of February 10th, 2021, VNU - HUS organized the online opening ceremony of the 2021-2022 academic year for full-time students in the nationwide spirit of back-to-school. The ceremony was mainly hosted at the meeting hall on the 7th floor in T5 building, 334 Nguyễn Trãi, Thanh Xuân, Hà Nội.

Lê Phạm Ngọc Lâm, a student of class 12A1, Long Thành High School, Đồng Nai Province achieved the highest score (28,45) in the entrance exam of Vietnam National University - University of Science (VNU - HUS). The university’s media unit had an online interview with this student.
