On Thursday, September 14th, 2017, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Nguyen Van Noi – Rector of the VNU University of Science had a meeting with Prof. Sakurai from Kochi University (Japan) for signing the cooperation agreement between two universities. Accompanying were the representatives of Assoc. Prof. Le Thanh Son - Dean of Faculty of Chemistry, Assoc. Prof. Nguyen Quang Huy - Dean of Faculty of Biology and Dr. Nguyen Minh Hai - Deputy Head of International Relations & Administration Office, VNU University of Science.

On Tuesday, September 12, 2017, Rector of the VNU University of Science - Assoc. Prof. Dr. Nguyen Van Noi had a meeting with Prof. Taiji Totta from Hiroshima University, Japan.

On September 7th, 2017, the Faculty of Chemistry, VNU University of Science held the 9th Master Course in Chemistry with specialization "Advanced Materials and Environment" and awarded the Bachelor's Degree in double degree.

At the invitation of HKUST (Hong Kong University of Science and Technology), the rector of VNU University of Science (HUS) - Assoc. Prof. Dr. Nguyen Van Noi paid a visit from August 31st to September 1st, 2017.

On August 30th, 2017, VNU University of Science (HUS) and Thailand Greenhouse Gas Management Organization (TGO), an organization under the Ministry of Natural Resources and Environment of Thailand, reached an agreement on cooperation over two years.

At the invitation of National Chiao Tung University (NCTU), the rector of VNU University of Science (HUS) - Assoc. Prof. Dr. Nguyen Van Noi paid a visit from the 23rd to the 25th of August, 2017. Assoc. Prof. Dr. Do Minh Duc, the head of HUS Administration and International Relation office, joined the delegation.

The date August 19th, 2017 became a significant milestone in the history of VNU University of Science (HUS) and Hanoi University of Science and Technology (HUST), both of which are the leading university in the field of natural sciences and technology.

On August 17th, 2017, thousands of students went through the admission process to become a freshman of the class QH.2017.T (K62) at VNU University of Science (HUS), in the main campus, 334 Nguyen Trai, Thanh Xuan, Hanoi.

On August 9th, Prof. Dr. Phan Tuan Nghia - Vice Rector of VNU University of Science, on behalf of its governing board, received a delegation from AISECT, an Indian education network, on its quest to prospective partner.

On July 18th 2017, the signing ceremony between the VNU University of Science (HUS) and the Anhui University of Technology (AHUT) took place at the former’s premise, following up by a cooperative agreement between VNU Key Laboratory of Advanced Materials for Green Growth (KLAMAG) and School of Chemistry and Chemical Engineering of AHUT.
