General Information:
The
Faculty of Chemistry has been established at the Hanoi University according to
the Decree No. 2184/TC of the Vietnamese Government dated June 4th,
1956. The Faculty of Chemistry has played a pivotal role in research and
education in the field of Chemistry, Chemical Engineering and Pharmaceutical
Chemistry in Vietnam.
Mission
and vision:
The mission of
the Faculty of Chemistry is to train and provide top quality, committed
graduates; to do research, develop and transfer knowledge and valuable
scientific advances in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering and Technology, and
Pharmaceutical Chemistry; to serve the course of building and protecting our
country as well as to integrate into regional and international development.
The Faculty of Chemistry aims to be
recognized as a reputable faculty for training and doing research in Chemistry,
Chemical Engineering Technology, and Pharmaceutical Chemistry in ASEAN and then
Asia.

The Faculty of Chemistry has six departments, four laboratories, and one

Green Growth
- Center for Computational Chemistry.
During
68 years of development, the Faculty of Chemistry has reached significant
milestones, such as the Hero of Labor Award presented by the State President of
Vietnam in 2014, the First-class Labor Medal in 2010, the Second-class Labor
Medal in 2006, and the Third-class Labor Medal in 2001. Additionally, the
faculty received the Prime Minister's Commendation in 2022 and garnered
numerous other commendations.
