VNU University of Science, Vietnam National University, Hanoi (VNU-HUS), in collaboration with the Korea Institute of Science and Technology (KIST), is launching a research exchange program for graduate students and undergraduates. The program aims to provide students with the opportunity to engage in research activities in an international environment, thereby enhancing their integration capabilities, developing advanced research skills, confidence, and adaptability in the context of globalization.

Program Details:

  1. Program Title: Student Exchange Program at the Korea Institute of Science and Technology (KIST)

  2. Exchange Duration: 5 months (from September 1, 2025 to January 31, 2026)

  3. Main Activities:

    • Participants will conduct research under the guidance of KIST professors;

    • Experience the academic and working environment at KIST;

    • Explore daily life in South Korea.

  4. Eligibility:

    • Current master's or undergraduate students enrolled at VNU-HUS throughout the entire exchange period;

    • Must have no more than three semesters remaining before graduation;

    • Should have an interest and aspiration to pursue graduate studies at the School of Science and Technology, KIST.

  5. Benefits for Exchange Students:

    • Monthly financial support: 1,200,000 KRW for undergraduate students and 1,400,000 KRW for master’s students (before tax);

    • Accommodation at the dormitory (student pays 180,000 KRW/month);

    • Comprehensive health insurance coverage;

    • Participation in a variety of academic and cultural events for students.

  6. Quota: 10 candidates

  7. Application Documents and Registration:

    • Curriculum vitae (in English);

    • Scanned copy of passport;

    • Completed application form (template provided);

    • Academic transcript in English;

    • Supporting documents (if available), such as English certificates, awards, etc.

  1. Implementation Procedure:

    • Based on submitted applications, the University will screen and shortlist the most suitable candidates for nomination to KIST;

    • The University will coordinate with KIST for the second-round selection and review;

    • Selected applicants will be notified and required to pay the participation fee to VNU University of Science;

    • The Office of Cooperation and Development will organize a pre-departure orientation session and coordinate with KIST to support selected students.
