From September 16-20, 2024, a group of students from Ibaraki University had an enriching experience at the VNU University of Science, Hanoi. This was part of an annual exchange and cultural interaction between the two institutions, designed to provide academic and cultural exchange opportunities for students at the VNU University of Science. In October, a group of students from VNU University of Science is expected to be sponsored for a similar exchange visit to Japan.

Participating in this year's summer exchange program, the students from Ibaraki University experienced a journey filled with learning, interaction, and exploration of the beautiful culture and landscapes of Vietnam.
The members of the exchange group from Ibaraki University are students currently studying in fields such as Electrical and Electronic Systems Engineering, Urban and Civil Engineering, Mechanical Systems Engineering, and Computer and Information Science. Therefore, the VNU University of Science actively designed a curriculum that aligned with the students' specialized fields of study.

In addition to attending classes with experienced lecturers, the Ibaraki students had ample time to meet, connect, and exchange with the dynamic students of the VNU University of Science. Together, they enjoyed wonderful moments exploring the university campus and visiting the Biology Museum, which houses valuable specimens gifted by the Japanese Royal Family. The exchange became even more exciting as the students had the opportunity to discover the rich culture, history, cuisine, and stunning natural beauty of Vietnam.
At the closing ceremony, students from both universities had a meaningful time sharing their thoughts and feelings about the exciting journey they had just experienced. According to the participants, this was a valuable opportunity for everyone to listen to each other more, fostering greater understanding and connection. This will serve as a foundation for further strengthening and nurturing the close relationship between the two institutions.

At the closing ceremony, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Ngac An Bang, Vice Rector of VNU University of Science, warmly welcomed the Ibaraki delegation and congratulated them on their memorable time of learning, exchanging, and creating lasting experiences at the university. On this occasion, on behalf of the university, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Ngac An Bang presented certificates and commemorative gifts to all the staff and students from Ibaraki University who participated in this exchange program.

After several days of learning, exchanging, and experiencing with the students of VNU University of Science, Dr. Moe Kano expressed heartfelt thanks to the university and its students for their support. Dr. Moe Kano and the students in the delegation were deeply impressed by the friendliness, hospitality, and thorough care shown by the faculty and students during their stay. The delegation from Ibaraki University was also greatly impressed by the cultural and historical experiences of Vietnam, as well as those offered by the university.
