Lê Phạm Ngọc Lâm, a student of class 12A1, Long Thành High School, Đồng Nai Province achieved the highest score (28,45) in the entrance exam of Vietnam National University - University of Science (VNU - HUS). The university’s media unit had an online interview with this student.

A silver medal of the International Biology Olympiad and a Labor Medal class III awarded by the President of Vietnam in 2020 are the outstanding achievements of Đồng Ngọc Hà - a former Physics-gifted student of HUS High School for Gifted Students (a member unit of Vietnam National University - University of Science, or VNU - HUS).

According to the Quality Control Department (Ministry of Education and Training), on the evening of May 26th, at the 2021 Asia-Pacific Informatics Olympiad, all six Vietnamese participants won prizes with two gold, one silver and three bronze medals. Before that, on May 24th, the 2021 Asian Physics Olympic also ended. Eight students from the Vietnam’s national team won two gold medals, one silver medal and three bronze medals, two certificates of merit.

Successfully discovered a material that is capable of adsorbing up to 98% of antibiotics in wastewater at his senior year in college, Nguyen Ngoc Trung had his scientific paper published in a Q1 international magazine. He has just received a fully-funded scholarship for PhD study in Australia.

Mr. Tạ Văn Nhân, a Bridge Engineering major, successfully completed his thesis defense on March 11th, 2021. Mr. Nhân was the first student of the Master of Data Science program at VNU University of Science (VNU – HUS) to perform a thesis defense for his graduation.

Scoring 94.08 and placed at 9/231, Nguyễn Hoàng Dương was the sole 11th grade student in Vietnam to earn an International Chemistry Olympiad medal in 2020.
