On Tuesday 6 September 2016, Colonel General Yves Demay – Director-General of École Polytechnique visited and worked at the High School for Gifted Students. Assoc. Prof. Dr. Nguyen Van Noi - Rector of the VNU University of Science and the Board of Rectors of the High School for Gifted Students welcomed the delegation.
On Tuesday 6 September 2016, Colonel General Yves Demay – Director-General of École Polytechnique visited and worked at the High School for Gifted Students. Assoc. Prof. Dr. Nguyen Van Noi - Rector of the VNU University of Science and the Board of Rectors of the High School for Gifted Students welcomed the delegation.
This is an official working visit to VNU University of Science aside from the cooperation agreement between Vietnam National University and École Polytechnique which had just been signed in the morning of the same day at Vietnam National University, Hanoi.


Director-General Yves Demay said, for more than the past 10 years, École Polytechnique has trained more than 100 masters and doctors who came from the Talented Programs of Vietnam National University, Hanoi. More than half are students from VNU University of Science and High School for Gifted Students. He appreciated the quality of training as well as ongoing efforts of scientists, faculty members built and developed this program.

Director-General Yves Demay, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Nguyen Van Noi, and the Board of Rectors of High School for Gifted Students discussed the prospect toward the cooperation between the two sides, with a focus on student exchange in the near future. Namely, in the learning process, Vietnamese students can come to France for learning about 6 months; at the same time, French students can come to Vietnam to attend short-term courses, internships or practical experience. The two universities enhance cooperation in the training as well as more research and eventually joining in collaboration with dual training, conduct joint research activities.
